Schedule:

November through March, second Saturday of the month.

Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Start Time is at 9:00 a.m.


Entries:

Entries close 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, pre-registration is encouraged and can be made via email.


Participants may be required to sign a Liability Agreement if one is not currently on file at the range.

Conditions:

These matches are open to all US Citizen competitors using competitor-provided firearms, equipment, and appropriate safe ammunition. Empty Chamber Indicators (ECI) and use of ear & eye protection is mandatory for match events. Range capacity is 1 relay of 18 competitors. Competitors will hang targets to start the match, score and repair targets during the match, and remove all targets upon completion of the match.

The match will use CMP rules as detailed in the CMP high-power rifle rule book.

This league is intended to be friendly to those new to the sport seeking to learn and experience the etiquette and rules associated with participating safely in an organized competitive high power match.  


Rifle Class:

Any center fire rifle or carbine (manual or semi auto) that is safe, clean, in good working condition and can shoot 10 rounds in 60 seconds. Any sight system may be used. Muzzle brakes are not permitted; flash hiders are allowed.


Equipment Needed:

Rifle, ammo (at least 90 rounds), clips or magazines, shooting mat or blanket, spotting scope or binoculars, pen, ear & eye protection, sling, adjustment tools, winter jacket or shooting coat.


Course of Fire:

CMP Cup Match, Short Range Highpower Rifle Standard Course, 80 shots for record (88 including sighting shots), fired at 100 yards.


Line calls will be given for each stage of fire.


Competitors will have a 3 minute preparation period prior to each stage:


2 sighting shots in followed by 20 record shots slow fire standing in 22 minutes.


2 sighting shots in 2 minutes, followed by two 10 shot strings of sitting rapid fire each with a magazine change in 60 seconds by CMP rules.


2 sighting shots in 2 minutes, followed by two 10 shot strings of prone rapid fire each with a magazine change in 70 seconds by CMP rules.


2 sighting shots followed by 20 record shots slow fire prone in 22 minutes.


Targets:

All targets will be CMP approved targets for each stage of fire.


Ammunition:

Competitor must bring their own safe ammunition, such as factory, reloads, or surplus. No tracer, armor piercing, or incendiary ammunition is permitted.


Classification:

CMP classifications, or if you are new we will help you get a CMP classification.


Challenges:

There are no challenges. Extra time may be given for malfunctions or alibis.
